Domestic Hot Water Heating

Brazetek hot water heat exchanger provides an effective solution for common domestic hot water needs. There are many different ways a heat exchanger can be implemented into an existing heating system to heat domestic water. As a heat source, a common boiler may be used as well as outdoor wood stove (outdoor wood boiler) or a solar heating system.

Since it is not recommended to mix the water from the heating system with the supply of drinking water, a hot water heat exchanger can separate these two mediums and provide a safe transition of heat from one liquid to another.

A domestic hot water heat exchanger (either brazed plate type or shell and tube type) can be particularly useful when a system is designed with an over-sized boiler or other heating source that provides excessive amounts of heat. A hot water heat exchanger can be used for domestic hot water heating in two ways.

1) To heat a supply of cold water directly from the cold water inlet;
2) To work in conjunction with a storage tank and constantly recirculate and maintain a desired temperature of a certain amount of hot water.
